02HOW WE WORK

We are not brokers. We operate the vessel.

Plate Maritime LLC is a ship operator: we structure, contract and supervise the full operation of the vessel.

Every operation is built piece by piece. The unit is selected against the requirement, technically verified, contracted under negotiated terms and supervised through to completion of the service. That assembly is our work.

05WHAT WE MOVE

Cargo lines

Three lines concentrate the operation, each with different stowage, lashing and documentation demands.

  1. 01STEEL CARGO

    Steel

Coils, plate, sections, pipe and billet: dense cargo that concentrates weight over a small area and demands control of the stresses on the vessel structure.

    • Weight distribution against hold strength
    • Lashing and dunnage specific to each product type
    • Protection against moisture and condensation in transit
    • Condition survey on loading and discharge
  2. 02PROJECT CARGO

    Project cargo

Indivisible, oversized or exceptionally heavy pieces, where the geometry of the cargo determines the unit, the manoeuvre and the port.

    • Compatibility study between piece, hold and cranes
    • Stowage plan and lashing calculation
    • Analysis of access, draft and berthing window
    • Own supervision during lifting and seating
  3. 03CHARTERING

    Vessel chartering

Contracting the right unit for each operation, negotiated directly with owners and followed throughout the life of the contract.

    • Search and selection of the unit in the market
    • Negotiation of terms and contractual structure
    • Operational follow-up during the charter
    • Settlement and post-fixture closing

Each line is operated with the unit the requirement calls for, contracted through our international network.

12COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

The company that structures, contracts and operates the vessel for a given operation: it selects the unit, verifies it technically, negotiates the contractual terms and supervises execution through to completion of the service.

No. We operate and commercially manage vessels sourced through our international network of owners and operators. That lets us select the right unit for each requirement instead of adapting the cargo to a fixed fleet.

Ocean, coastal, river and offshore operations, including cabotage, waterway transport and support to offshore operations.

Through pre-fixture inspection, review of certificates, verification of the last dry dock, review of hold inspections and analysis of general arrangement plans.

Cargo type and volume, origin and destination, time window and any relevant operational constraint. With that we can identify the right unit type and structure a proposal.

The experience we reference corresponds to the professional track record of the management team in the shipping industry, not to the corporate age of Plate Maritime LLC.
